Close the bar!

Close the bar!

Recently I went to a Business after 5 event which was superbly hosted and the presentation by the host was great.  Seating was provided near a screen and several images accompanied the presentation.

What was not so great was the hoard of ignorant people who stood at the back of the room drinking, eating and talking loudly whilst the host was giving his presentation.

That’s just plain bad manners and what’s more is an abuse of the host’s hospitality.  A Business after 5 is the host’s opportunity to showcase the business and if you don’t want to listen you shouldn’t be there.

So my advice to future BA5 hosts?  Close the bar and cut off the food supply while you make your presentation.  And if they don’t like it – tough!
